Product Updates: July 2023

The latest Locally product updates better facilitate Reserve Online, Pay In Store (ROPIS) sales for brands and retailers, offer more flexibility for brands that do not use UPCs, and give brands more options for selling product bundles with Locally. We’ve also added a new EPOS premier connection and updated our popular Lightspeed connection for bike retailers.

New Bikedesk EPOS Premier Inventory Connection

We have released a new integration with Bikedesk, one of Europe’s leading EPOS systems for Bike dealers. With this new premier connection, Bikedesk users can connect their inventory to Locally for free even more easily.

Directions for connecting inventory with Locally and Bikedesk can be found here: Bikedesk Premier Integration

Updated ROPIS Requirements

To ensure stores have all the information they need to facilitate a successful store pickup order, shoppers are now required to enter their phone number during checkout when placing a reservation for store pickup.

Locally’s tools allow brands to offer Reserve Online, Pay In Store (ROPIS) orders directly from their website, activating their wholesale retail partners as a network of pickup locations. ROPIS and other online-to-offline transactions are on the rise as preferred purchasing methods for shoppers.

Our new ROPIS update requires a phone number from shoppers before ordering.

Alternative Product Code Support

Locally has released additional support for brands that do not use UPC codes to identify their products. With this new level of support, brands can submit a unique part number or similar and Locally will be able to match that to retailers’ inventory.

Product Kits And Bundles In The Product Locator

With Locally's new "Kits" parameter, brands that sell products in bundles or kits that contain multiple UPCs can now enter those packages into our Product Locator. Our Product Locator will display local store results that have availability for all products in any given kit or bundle Learn more here.

Updated Lightspeed POS Connection

Bike brands that don’t use UPC codes are in luck; Locally can now sync retailer inventory via part numbers through Lightspeed Cloud.

Lightspeed is one of the most widely-used POS systems among bike dealers. Locally offers a premier connection for Lightspeed users.

Export For Pending Retailer Requests

Retailers use Locally’s Relationship Manager to send authorization requests to brands that have not yet added them as authorized dealers. Brands can now download these requests through our Retailer Participation Report. We have added this update to make it easier for brands to manage their retailer relationships and see more sales through their wholesale network with Locally.
