A Year in Review: Building a Legacy for the Future

Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Growth and Milestones:

As 2024 comes to a close, it feels like the perfect time to reflect on everything we’ve accomplished together. This year has been transformative—a time of building, learning, and setting the stage for the future.

We also hit a huge milestone: Locally turned 10! It’s amazing to think about how far we’ve come—from 3 guys brainstorming a problem while working “real jobs” to a thriving business where a dedicated large team is constantly evolving to meet the needs of brands, retailers, and shoppers.

Here are some highlights from an incredible year:

2024 Highlights

  • Strategic Leadership:
    We made some powerhouse additions to our team this year, including a new VP of Finance, a VP of Retail Activation, and a CMO. These hires are already helping us sharpen our focus, streamline operations, and make an even bigger impact in the market.

  • Brand Sales and Success:
    We welcomed nearly 100 new clients in 2024 and deepened partnerships with amazing brands like The North Face, YETI, and Trek Bikes. We also vastly expanded our sales pipeline and our tradeshow participation while optimizing our sales process and growing our sales team. Locally continues to prove its value by harmonizing brand and retailer sales channels for the shopper's benefit.

  • Retailer Expansion:
    Our new Retail Activation Team crushed it this year, driving a 49% increase in new stores sharing inventory with Locally! Big names like Nordstrom, Kroger, Shoe Carnival, Foot Locker, Champs, Cavender’s, Do It Best, Shoe Station, and Dillard’s joined the network. The team also onboarded 6,500 stores for Buy It Locally.

  • Data Science:
    Locally has evolved from hunches to real data. From real-time analytics to enhanced attribution capabilities, we’ve transformed how brands and retailers can understand and respond to both sell-in and sell-through. In 2025, we will continue to evolve our capabilities, enabling our clients to use Locally’s data to rapidly respond to emerging opportunities.

  • Upgrades to Operations:
    Rolling out major infrastructure upgrades like Salesforce and NetSuite will be a long-term game-changer. It’s already helping us refine our strategies and work smarter, not harder.

  • Product Innovation:
    From the launch of Locally as a fully-headless service, to multiple new Buy It Locally paths to purchase, to a major upgrade to campaign attribution tracking, we launched tools this year that solidified our position as the online-to-offline market leader. These innovations aren’t just shiny new features—we’re giving our clients essential tools that empower shoppers to buy products in the way they choose.

  • Partnerships:
    We strengthened relationships with dozens of key players like ENDVR, Yext, and Google, taking collaboration to the next level.

  • Marketing:
    We focused on amplifying our voice through impactful PR campaigns, including the launching of the Omni-Seller Marketplace. We also upgraded our client-facing website to enhance the experience and produced a wealth of new collateral to support our efforts. And, we developed several compelling new case studies to showcase our successes and refresh our event approach. These initiatives reflect our dedication to driving growth and elevating our brand.

2024 was our biggest year of all time, but all signals point to an even stronger 2025. Indeed, the year ahead is full of promise. We are committed to finishing the innovative advancements we began, strengthening our brand and retailer relationships, and meeting the demands of a market that is shifting rapidly toward our vision. 

None of this would be possible without the entire Locally team’s dedication, creativity, and resilience. Every success we’ve celebrated this year directly results from your hard work and commitment to excellence. Together, we’ve proven that Locally is more than a company.
